Can't get enough of the soup! So far every dish I have tried is delicious! I haven't tried the daily beer specials because I don't drink beer but they seem like awesome deals.

Amazing breakfast and the green chile cheese appetizer was ridiculous how good it was.

Food is consistently good. I highly recommend their barbacoa and their caldo de res is wonderful, although a little skimpy on the res ;) Service is hit or miss, but it's one of my favorite Mexican restaurants here in town, even if it is purely for the food.

Was in Las Cruces for work when I was fortunate enough to happen upon Delicia's. I think I was looking for a different spot, but I got lost and found Delicia's. Being from So Cal, I love me some ghetto style, simple, extremely fattening Mexican food. And based on this lone sample, I would put New Mexico right behind California as far as good homey Mexican grub. (I did shove a gas station green chile, bean and cheese burrito down my throat the night before and was quite impressed.) It had been over 20 years since my last stop in NM, so I had to reacquaint myself with the red and green chiles. Unfortunately, my travel companions insisted on Olive Garden (WTF??) the night before. I was out voted three to one. So I had one shot in the morning to get it right before my flight when I found Delicia's. And get this...I am not much of a breakfast person, but my meal there was awesome! I had the Huevos Divorciados, medium. They were awesome. It was hash browns, beans with cheese, and one egg on a tortilla with green chile, and one egg on a tortilla with red chile. Delicious, and very simple. I definitely got my chile fix. Less than $11 for breakfast special, iced tea, tax ,and tip. The complimentary chips were nothing too special, but the salsa was the bomb and had some kick to it. It is a very basic set up, basic and simple. To me, that is part of the charm. As Orion S pointed out, yes, the wait staff looked like they were dressed for a night at "da club", complete with high hair and heavy eye makeup. I loved it. Again, for me, part of the charm. And my waitress with the low cut top was on point! Cute and friendly to the one vanilla in the joint. It must have been clear I was an out-of-towner, and she made sure to invite me back when I return to Las Cruces. She was a cutie, as was most of her co workers. That is worth a + 1/2 star, at least! No shame in their game. I mean, we know that most restaurants use Mrs. Butterworth's containers refilled with generic pancake syrup. We know this, so don't assume we are idiots. Delicia's, however, had Great Value (WalMart brand) syrup on the table. I love that! If I ever find myself in Las Cruces again, I will be certain to stop by Delicia's and try their lunch or dinner. Give it a shot, peeps! Support your local businesses!!!

the food is amazing..we love the red chile..however, the service needs a lot of work..the waitresses should wear their hair up and not have rhinestones 2inch long nails..it looks unprofessional and it makes me question how clean the place is..I eat Caldo Tlapeno..that is excellent..

My kind of Traditional American breakfast (eggs over medium, hash browns, bacon, toast) was perfect. It was nice to have the salsa and chips on the side! Really enjoyed our breakfast. The restaurant got crowded really fast and was noisy, but that is to be expected with such a large crowd.

Delicias used to have incredible food at unbelievably low prices. The prices are decidedly average now, but the food is still great. The caldo de res they serve as an appetizer is better than it has any right to be. Everything else is tasty as well, but they occasionally overcook the meat. Service and decor are average. A solid choice, but with the increased prices there is a lot of competition in town.

This place WAS a great spot for inexpensive Mexican food. But now, you will pay $11 for a combination plate of food that is really uninteresting and bland. It was once standing-room only. Now, the place is mostly empty. People aren't stupid and they know it's no longer a bargain. They have three huge big screen televisions that may account for where the extra-high menu pricing has been spent. You will do better all day long at Andele or even La Posta. Nopalitos is also an option. I was wishing I was at Taco Bell instead yesterday when I took the wife into this disappointing spot.

Delicious! As a life long resident of Las Cruces I can say Delicias is definitely one of the BEST. I hadn't been there in years and had forgotten how good they were! On this rare snowy day in Las Cruces my boyfriend, our 3 year old son and I decided to stop by for some warm Caldo De Res and it was great! The waitress was attentive and exceptionally well mannered! Great staff, amazing food! We will definitely be making it one of our regular spots from now on!

Delicious Caldo de Res. awesome comp chips and salsa. Pretty great menu. Fun atmosphere (although too loud but the food is worth it). The female waitstaff can also be rude half the time - but there are some friendly servers also. If you want to eat some great food for a great price come here- but be warned it can get super busy!

I stopped in to Delicias today for breakfast. I waited at least 5 minutes after sitting down before the waitress took my drink order and presented me with a menu. I quickly made up my mind to get the Huevos Mexicanos and pushed the menu aside. However the waitress was nowhere to be seen. A group of 6 cops came in about 5 minutes after I did and the same waitress waited on them and took their orders before she took mine. So thanks to an incompetent waitress I was going to be waiting for an extra six orders to be filled before I got mine. Finally a couple minutes after she took the cops' orders she reluctantly came to my table and took my order. The meal was supposed to come with tortillas and she asked "corn or flour", and I said "flour". At this point the "complimentary" chips and salsa that had been brought to my table with my tea were exhausted, but no offer to bring more chips/salsa was made at that point, and my mostly empty tea glass was neglected as well. 10 minutes later my order was brought to the table. It looked like 1 scrambled egg with the other ingredients. 1 egg. Who in the hell makes a 1 egg breakfast? Plus the waitress had forgotten the tortillas completely. I was hungry so I dug in anyway only to find the egg was overcooked, dry, and tasteless. The waitress finally brought around more salsa which I dumped over the egg in an attempt to resuscitate the meal. Then the dumb broad says "would you like tortillas"? I said "the meal is supposed to come with tortillas, so yes"...then she says "flour or corn". The 2nd time she asked that question and I replied "flour, the same as the first time I told you". She then proceeded to not bring me the tortillas until I had about 1 spoonful of food left on my plate. Amazing. Now I should make the reader aware that I'm a big tipper. I overtip as a rule because I know the servers in restaurants make less than $3 an hour not counting tip. A server has to be horrendous for me to leave even a poor tips. The waitress at Delicias today earned a tip of $0. Not even a quarter. Frankly I don't think I should have been charged for the meal either. The help in this restaurant is terrible. They ignore the customers and don't correctly take orders. The food is terrible. I'll never go back and I highly recommend to anybody out there that any other place in Las Cruces is better for breakfast than this dump.

Pretty good, relatively authentic Mexican food. It is true some of the pretty waitresses seem more interested in flirting or talking with each other about last night's nightlife than customer service, so things sometimes may seem a bit chaotic, but in my experience service was OK. Often this is quite crowded, the place is a bit of a dive, simple tables and nothing fancy about the ambiance at all. But the food is reliably good. A great breakfast option, but I have been many times and like the food anytime of day.

Went once. I can't stand the heat so I stay out of that kitchen! The food was really tasty, but way too hot, and we do like our chiles. Neither of us could finish our meals, the portions were huge and it was that painful. But again, it was really good aside from the heat. We're afraid to try it again, but if you're made of tougher stuff than we are, by all means give it a try. I expect it's a great hangover spot. Lots of heavily tattooed folks there, both customers and staff.

Ok, I have to give Delicias some props here. The food, as others have pointed out is a good deal for the cost, which really, isn't that pretty darn important for most of us? When the locals crowd the place, it is a good sign of a restaurant to check out. Quality - excellent caldo - some awesome comfort food for when you feel under the weather. Other meals - very good. Maybe not the best, but far from bad and I am happy to go there for lunch or dinner any chance I get. Now call in an order to pick up and take home, and the staff may or may not look at you like you're on crack when you walk in the door, but that isn't so much a Delicias issue - that seems to happen alot in Las Cruces. It seems folks being rushed - overbooked and trying to use their time effectively is really a foreign concept to many locals...which may or may not be a good thing really...

I had the enchilada plate and a barbacoa taco on the side. The enchiladas were great! Best I've had since I've moved here honestly, but I wasn't a fan of the taco (it was too greasy and a little undercooked I thought). I'd give this place another star if the stepped up the service a little bit; I had a waitress who was a little on the slow side. But I'll probably go back.

This was our favorite dining experience in Las Cruces! The food here was fantastic and authentic. We ate at many Mexican restaurants while we were in Las Cruces and this was by far the best,

Hmmmm well first of all the only reason we came here was because Si Senior was closed for some reason. My friend was like lets go there, so we went since it was practically next door. We went for an early lunch and I heard that people come here mostly because all the servers are girls and hot. Well let me tell you thats soooo not true!!! Lies!!!! lol The girls there and the getto Daddy Yankee music playing were almost to much to handle. The servers were all in the back talking about their night before and they type of shampoo they use, not really paying attention to the customers. I saw a couple sit down and i swear to was like 15 minutes later before they even realized somebody else walked in. Oh, and don't get me started on the girl that appeared to be the hostess and boss of all the other servers kinda dressed like a hooker or had went clubbing in El Paso the night before and didn't change. The menu is like any other Mexican restaurant with the complimentary chips and salsa, which i might add is really spicy! The food was ridiculously cheap and i know why. The food was just as cheap but i guess you get what you pay for right. Nothing really fresh just packages frozen stuff.

A popluar, authentic Mexican food restaurant in Las Cruces. The seating was sparse...almost every table was taken. The busy floor affected their service. We had a waiter who took our order and served our food but then he disappeared on us when we needed more water, boxes for our left-overs, and the check. We had to find another server who wasn't supposed to cover our section to help us out. They served a hearty beef soup as a standard starter. I'm not sure if I was supposed to salt my food to my desired taste but my pozole soup had no flavor. Their flautas were small and too similar to the processed, frozen taquitos that you buy at Sam's Club or regular grocery stores. Somehow, their chicken tacos lacked flavor as well. I'm going to give this restaurant another chance being that they're so popular. I feel that I just ordered the wrong items. I'll have another review later on for this place.
